![]() THESE CONVERTERS WERE DESIGNED FOR STANDARD OR LIGHT DUTY APPLICATIONS
WITH AUTOMATIC CONTROLS. FOR EXAMPLE: FANS OR IRRIGATION PUMPS. THERE
MUST BE A PILOT DEVICE TO SIGNAL THE PHASE CONVERTER TO START.
EXAMPLE: A BLOWER IN A GREENHOUSE IS SET TO COME ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN
THE TEMPERATURE RISES TO A CERTAIN POINT. THE THERMOSTAT IS WIRED THROUGH
THE STARTING CIRCUIT ON THE DYNA- PHASE SO THAT THE CONVERTER WILL START
FIRST WITH THE BLOWER FOLLOWING. AN ADJUSTABLE TIME DELAY IS INCLUDED IN THE
DYNA-PHASE TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR THE CONVERTER TO GET UP TO SPEED
BEFORE THE LOAD STARTS.
DYNA-PHASE 1 AND 2 MODELS OPERATE ONLY WHEN THE LOAD MOTOR IS RUNNING. THIS
SAVES ON HYDRO CONSUMPTION AND WEAR ON PARTS IN THE CONVERTER. ONLY
MOTORS WITH SAME NAMEPLATE HP. OF THE DYNA-PHASE SHOULD BE OPERATED WITH
THESE MODELS.
SINGLE/MULTI MOTOR MODELS
THE SUFFIX ?VR? INDICATES THAT VOLTAGE REGULATION HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN THE
DYNA-PHASE. THIS CHANGES THE OPERATION OF THE DYNA-PHASE 1 AND 2 MODELS SO
THAT ANY SIZE MOTOR CAN BE RUN WITH THEM UP TO THE NAMEPLATE RATING OF THE
CONVERTER. THE MOTORS MAY BE RUN ALTOGETHER OR SEPARATELY.
UNLIKE THE SINGLE MOTOR UNITS THESE MODELS HAVE A MAGNETIC STOP/ START PUSH
BUTTON AND MUST BE MANUALLY STARTED BEFORE OPERATING ANY THREE PHASE
LOADS.
